History
AEPLE Association was founded to establish a professional, credible, effective and reliable network of Portuguese language education to foreigners within Portugal and abroad and to represent associate members before national and international entities.
Through steady expansion, AEPLE has obtained the highest caliber of language schools spanning from the mainland across the Atlantic to the island and from the rugged Northern region to the sandy Southern tip of the coastal country.
Since its conception in October 1996, AEPLE and its member schools have successfully created an enjoyable, positive and memorable Portuguese cultural and social experience for foreigners learning Portuguese in Portugal.
As a member of ELITE, the European Federation of National Associations of Native Language Instruction, AEPLE has obtained official recognition of courses offered by its associate schools. ELITE integrates European National Associations of schools teaching the native language of their country to foreigners.
AEPLE has always ensured that school members adhere to European standards of quality teaching and accommodation while providing a warm, welcoming and authentically Portuguese experience.
AEPLE has diligently complied with all ELITE and National regulations and ensured that member schools provide the highest standards of Portuguese language instruction and cultural experiences to foreigners.
