TEACHING PORTUGUESE AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

AEPLE Overview

AEPLE is the Portuguese Association of Private Schools which teach Portuguese as a foreign language. It was founded in October 1996 and is a member of the European Federation ELITE, which consists of similar associations whose member schools teach the Language of their respective countries.

    AEPLE Objectives

  • To promote and disseminate the Portuguese language and culture, in Portugal and abroad.
  • To ensure that the associates respect European standards in the quality of their teaching and accommodation and provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • To represent the interests of member schools to national and international bodies.
  • To obtain official recognition of the courses given by member schools.
